I agree that there are quite a few ofah reliants around but the driver was dressed exactly as old Delboy and the thing that struck me was the proccession of cars tagging along behind it..for reasons unbeknown to me and causing a massive tailback.
Thanks for the tags

Certainly not a well known TV series, but I found out after buying my car that it had appeared on TV

There was a program on the BBC called "Here come the sheriffs" or something like that. It followed Bailiffs going round their business in a fly on the wall type documentary programme

They went to a dealership forecourt which I recognised straight away and they clamped a load of cars whilst the owner drove his prized Porsche around the corner. My car was prominently displayed on the forecourt in the video

It was a shock to see it on TV I can tell you

Mine featured in "the Car's the Star" on the Beeb some 20 years back. Now she's being rebuilt soon and won't look a bit like the car in the film. The dolly bird was gorgeous though! IIRC, 17 hours from 2pm until 5am, then the - yawn - drive home and about 3 mins on the film.

Excellent your Lordship.

I was interested in a cheap banger (car that is) a few years back but it was a little overpriced - according to the seller it was a famous car as it had been used by the Dingles! Needless to say I didn't buy it but found out later that it had apparently been in an episode of a soap... fame indeed.

I used to have a great book about that was a guide to every episode of The Sweeney and The Professionals, amongst other stuff they listed all the vehicles used in each show.

I would love to own a car that was either Film or TV featured. There are just so many that's it's impossible to list them all, but that White RS 2 from The Proffesionals is top of the list, followed by ... Er er.... The Maserati Ghibli driven by Gene Barry in the Sth of France in The Adventurer, then the Cortez Silver 70 ? Stingray he drove in The Adventurer, followed by the Dark Blue alloy dash ( 63 ? ) 3.8 E Type FHC that gets its roof flattened in the Italian Job ( this E still survives aparently ) .

My own choice would be the Aston Zagato AR1 driven by Vincent Cassel in Ocean's 12.

This is the closest I've got to one at Works Service.

Our old Jeep Cherokee appeared in a few episodes of Morse and a few other films/TV shows of that era, either as just in the background or used by a minor character, mainly because it used to belong to a location manager who is the friend from whom we bought it

Anyone know latest news on NHK Sweeney Consul 3000GT? In copper bronze!!

Last I saw was 2 or 3 years ago and the owner was doing a long-term resto and making a great job of it too smile

Also - anyone know what happened to the blue Mk3 Cortina 2000XL used in first series?

I always liked those Holbay Sunbeam Rapier H120s. Wait a minute - maybe that's not Sunbeam after all.

Edit - your pics really bring out the colour of the paintwork and the shape of the bodywork, and the polished alloys are absolutely gorgeous. What a stunning Aston LBS, thx for pics.

laugh

I'd be pissed off if two old bids came and started scrawling all over my motor.

NHK 295M... closer to being finished than it was about nineteen years ago! Lots of hiccups along the way but I'm told it's getting there, slowly but surely ;-)

Lord Brett Sinclair - I am riven with jealousy Sir, your DBS is at the top of my 'list'! How's it going, do you get to use it much...?

My last Rover P5B Coupe PGU 726L was reputed to have belonged to Colin Baker who played Dr.Who once upon a time - there were photocopies of all the previous logbooks in the car's history file, I never found out for certain that it was his though.

Not the telly, but my Excel features very briefly as the example Excel in a DVD about Lotus. It's not a very good DVD. More not the telly: my Lancia was featured in Practical Classics about ten years ago. I didn't own either heap at the time of their dizzy ascent to meeja stardom, and sadly I am still waiting to be followed around by hordes of paps. I thought that I'd made it once, but then realised that the paps were just after a shot of Fiona Bruce's arse as she left Sheekey's one afternoon.
