Speed Camera Blamed For Death Accident!
Discussion
I have just watched the regional lunchtime news on Granada Television...
They report that a Coroner at an Inquest held in Stockport today, has blamed a speed camera as the cause of an accident in which a woman was killed last December... apparently the Coroner stated that the speed camera distracted the driver, causing the accident!
Granada Reports said it throws in to question, the effect cameras have on safety, and have asked for feedback from the public as to whether we think cameras are safe, or more likely to cause accidents because drivers are more concerned about looking for cameras and watching their speed than concentrating on the road ahead... the email address to send your feedback to is granada.reports@itv.com
The report hasn't appeared on Granada's website as yet (13.06 Wednesday 6-10-04) but no doubt it will do... this is their website address: www.itvregions.com/index.php?region=Granada

But I prefer your topic title!
Didn't see that, sorry (distracted by a speed camera perhaps???
) But yes, my title is a little bit more appropriate isn't it? Oh, btw, there is going to be a full report on this onn Granada Reports at 6.00PM tonight (for anyone in the Granada region); can someone record it and put it on here as an MPEG? I won't be here, I'm off to Silverstone this afternoon for a corporate tomorrow.
