Fabrice Fernandes was banned from driving for two years after being found guilty of dangerous driving at Southwark Crown Court. The Premiership player jumped nine red lights in an attempt to avoid arrest and was found to be nearly two times the drink drive limit. Fernandes was also fined £10,000 and given an 18-month community service order, but escaped a prison term.

One rule for the rich and one rule for us.

The maxium is 2 years

When compared to the two bikers who got 6 months in prison for speeding on a dual carriageway, this judgement shows a certain duality of standards wouldn't you agree?

Well as a Saints fan I was relieved to hear the news. Agree though, does smack of one rule for them....

Gary, in isolation I would agree, but when they are jailing people for going too fast and not having an accident it does smack of 'double standards' does it not?

Which is more dangerous, drink driving and going through nine red lights, or putting your foot down on a nearly deserted motorway?
