Morning,

Perusing GT2's as I fancy a change of Marque.

Does anyone know this one?

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/p...

I must admit to liking the RS modifications, but I am unsure about maintaining the Porsche Warranty with a Remap?

Oh no, badge Barry. laugh

OPC won't warranty with any mods let alone a remap. You even need Porsche air in your tyres!

PPI essential. I bought a car from G-Wagen a few years ago. It had a botched repair on one of the charge pipes and a badly corroded union on the oil cooler. I bought with my heart instead of my head and I paid the price.

When did u buy g-wagen from g-wagen.co.uk ? Max mc Arthur who used to run it had bad reputation but since James lafferty who took over in 2007 seems to be running the business well

I bought a car from them in October 2010. James Lafferty was working there then.

I know for a fact that the botched repair was carried out while they had the car.

This was my old car.

Purchased as an original Gt2 and had all the work carried out myself using genuine Porsche parts (bar the rs stickers - they were carried out by the current owner)

I believe the previous owner also used to post on here as we'll as it was the only Meteor Gt2 with pcm3.

Very straight car having had no paint work bar the rear bumper which was replaced for an rs item and also no track work I was aware of.

The seller has also failed to mention that the car had a full suspension GEo to RS specs along with monoball inner joints, gt3 cup rear arms and widened front track.

I did wonder as I saw a photo you posted when it was a work in progress, thanks for the info.

Another contributor to this forum has carried out similar mods to his 7 GT2. The parts bill was yikes

Respect for doing the job properly clap

They actually will. OPC themselves were selling an approved used turbo that had been heavily modified, had only 3k miles on it IIRC.
I remember querying it at the time.

Link? If it's under two years old with manufacturers warranty, maybe. Certainly not with the extended warranty though, you can only taint the interior with the smell of Porsche Design after shave, and that's if you're lucky!

The car was practically new so may have been under the original warranty. The bill for the mods must have been £10k+.
No link though - sorry.
