I'd push the budget to allow a 6 month younger car that will put you in a 4.7 like these

Though this time of year roadster prices firm up

Thanks, I am after a 4.3 to have it rebuilt by Bamford Rose and hence need a donor car. I can not see any advantage buying a 4.7 IMHO. I have been looking for some months now and can not find the right car advertised so thought I would see who might be looking to sell?

Some prefer the 4.7 interior, ASM1 was updated in the 4.7 and you will get more for your money updating a 4.7 externally from BR (rather than going the 4.3 to 4.7 conversion)

Having said that if it's a donor car you are after go for the oldest highest mileage you can find to get the most benefit out of the 4.7 conversion. (or are you tempted by a 5.0 conversion wink )

Roadster prices have firmed up now we have had some suitable weather.
What about this one as a donor?

Thanks MK. I will be looking into the 5L what do you mean by the comment better value to convert the 4.7 when they are another £10,000 to purchase and this could be spent on upgrades etc. I am looking at the total cost and want a car to drive as a hack car a selfish keeper.
I have seen this advert and not sure about the interior colour as I want to be able to wrap the car in different colours but saying that I like the Grigio Titanio at Devonshire Motor company with red seats but black interior and there are a couple of Black cars below £40K private but don’t really want black. Would really like a silver/grey car and black interior with HID plus premium HI FI. Looking for any private sales thinking of selling.
In the central arm rest area cars can have 2,3 or 4 buttons does anyone know what these are for? Thanks

I guess the point I was making is you can get more BHP/£ from intake & exhaust modes to the 4.7 (and they are easily resellable) than a full GT4 4.7 conversion on a 4.3.
The options and colours are down to what is available for the budget.
If I was looking for a project car I'd wait until the winter.
