Call of Duty MW3 - Lost all my progress?

Could you help with this?
I've been enjoying the special op "wave" feature of the game.
Got up to level 50 whilst saving progress on harddrive. Then one day I put the machine on, and I have lost all my progress.
I then started from zero again, saving progress online to the cloud. That worked fine, got to level 50 last night and then again, this morning all my progress have been wiped out and I'm down to zero again!
I've tried Googling for the answer, but no luck.
Hoping someone here can help. It's a real pain building it all up again.
