Charging a bike light battery?

I have a CREE T6 front bike light.

It came with a US plug and an UK adaptor. I've lost the adaptor and the spare adaptor I have doesn't work.

The details are:

Battery: 4400mA, 8.4V (4 * 18650)
Input: 100V-240V AC, 50/60Hz
Output: 8.4V DC/1000mA

I have found a OEM adaptor I have which is

Input: 230v, 50Hz 140mA
Output 12v/1.5mA

Will I be able to charge the battery with the adaptor or will it fry it (in which case I'll get anoother adaptor)?

Can you remove the batteries, and charge them separately? Is yes then, you need a Xtar wp2 II charger.


Job jobbed. I use one to charge my 18650 5600mah batts

I've broke a few chargers over the years. I wouldn't try using yours, it could result in a nasty fire.

You could buy a spare battery too if shopping at DX, they do a nice range.
