Impending poverty through house purchase is causing me to seriously consider the future of my S2 -

It has been a trusy steed for the last year & a bit but I fear that the time may have come for us to part

Before I put an ad up in the classifieds - how much do you think i should take off for the fact that it has been stolen recovered in the past (this was declared to me by the previous owner)

It is in pretty good nick and I have been rebuilding the history but it will obviously have an impact on the value - what do you guys think?

15%?
20%?

cheers all,

BERG (soon to be no longer S2...)

impending poverty and you are thinking of getting a cerb! www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?f=6&h=0&t=127513

you must be nuts!

I would allow about 20%. Thats what I allowed for the fact mine was an accident repaired car and the deduction for stolen/recovered appears similar.

Tim that sucks!!!

Are you sure it's worth you selling up? You may find that what with the rear damage and the stolen/recovered status that it may be better to keep the car, just tighten up a bit and put the S on the back burner.

Yeah - I know a little strange perhaps - such are the ebbs & flows of my business...

Planned to play-out like this:

Short term - I need a new central heating system and a whole lot of work doing to the new house

Girlfriend is looking at the car gathering dust - (not through lack of use - plasterdust gets everywhere!) - and seeing a new kitchen...

So, I sell the car, get a kitchen and sort the central heating and am deemed the sacrificial hero - see my halo shine

Over the winter I squirrel away enough cash for a Chim/Cerb/V8S and when the right one comes up any objections are instantly crushed and my return to the TVR fold is ensured

Oh and by the way - yes I am nuts!
