Boy what a car!. pick it up in 2 weeks time. Can't seem to get my insurance down below £1,100. Gulp!. getting the stage 2 exhaust fitted Free, plus the Tracker. Just got to sell my s1 hard top. Anyone else with a comment on this car?

Well done carps

Drove a 111R a couple of weeks ago at Lotus on one of their driving days - absolute gem of an engine - you can rev the nuts off it and sounds superb.

A tad slower in my bog standard K-series S2 on the way home.

I've now got to think of a way to convince the wife I NEED a 111R / Exige !!

Congrats.

We have had ours a couple of weeks now and it is bedding in nicely. Fish is absolutely loving it. I've only managed to drive it twice so far

hope your not using the cam power too early or you may invalidate your warrenty. ALL your revs and everything are recorded and sent to Lotus at the 1000miler, so make sure you run them in properly....

Maybe a good time to suggest a Peak distict run sometime when you are all fully run in.

Plus they do trackday cover for a small fee each time.

good man carps!

insurance advice... I have 9 points on my licence (3 offences with a combined total of less than 30mph over the limits) and 2 insurance claims against me (thefts!)...getting quotes for my elise as me as the driver was ridiculous - best quote was £2k but most wouldn't even listen to me!!

I've gone through "diamond - the womens insurer" with my mrs as the main driver and me named on the policy...quote was £600 fully comp and Protected...

so if you've got a mrs that you have been with a while look into it mate....

Darren as your from Bristol have a look at this thread from British Cars about Burt's Bristol run

www.british-cars.co.uk/cgi-bin/gen5?runprog=lotusbbs&mode=thread&access=&subject=2001&source=T&thread=2004100613410518368

I went on the last one and it was great fun. About 20 cars or so and some fantastic roads. Give you a good chance to try out the car and have a chat to some other owners
