Not collecting a new car from Zuffenhausen but my local dealer have organised a museum visit and factory tour in September.

I do fancy it but it strikes me as expensive. EUR700 including one night in a hotel and entry to the factory and museum. We drive ourselves there in a high speed convoy. With petrol at autobahn speeds that will be over a grand I reckon.

Do UK dealers offer similar trips and are they priced similarly ?

Cheers

I can't say I'm inclined to do one of these organised tours. You can get to Stuttgart at your own pace, stay where you like and still have change out of 700EUR. Factory is free and museum is cheap, after all.

Cheers Magic

I was led to believe that the factory was not open to individuals - only as part of a group ?

The museum is free as I still have my Insider member card

I emailed them and toured with my wife. We were with an assortment of visitors on the day. Certainly not just groups.

Factory Tour is free just email and get a space, museum is 8 euros or 4 euros if the price is reduced such as when an exhibition is not available.

We're there in September - as already mentioned, send an email and ask nicely and you stand a good chance of a factory tour gratis.

Hi, please could you provide the email address that you used to book the factory tour? I'm planning a Euro trip and would love to visit the factory and museum.

Many thanks.

Same, planning to travel Germany later in the year and would like to know who I should ask nicely to see if I can organise a factory tour.

Thanks!

Many thanks Atom111. Out of curiosity, how long does the tour take and do you need to be there at a specific time?

It's 2hrs and you get a time allocated.

As others said it is free. We have just done a trip that include ferry 2 nights near the ring and 2 nights in Stuttgart including factory and museum tours. All ferry and 4 star hotels breakfast, bed and dinner for £679 each including four laps of the ring.

Just needed petrol and beer money.

You may find that the dealer tour will cover areas not in the normal tour, as is the case with theun tour. Still 2 hours is enough and you see enough.
