Cheers for the spoiler. Was out buying an EOS yesterday and was just about to sit down to watch the GP. Ho hum.

Well, that's what happens if you click a link that says "bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1"

To be fair it was nearly 36 hours ago...would have thought most would have seen it by now..and surely the title would lead you to avoid the thread

By the way, Schumacher won in 1994. Sorry for the spoiler.

2hrs, maybe, but 30hrs? How did you avoid all press and web sites for so long?

I think it's a translation issue and Kimi meant he needs to be congratulated on his peerless overtaking skills. wink

Yep, you really expected the F1 website NOT to have details of the race!? And the thread title should have suggested it might have info about the race.

How naive.

I did enjoy it when Perez finally encountered a less 'compliant' driver pulling that move at the chicane. His move on Button was tidy but against Alonso and Raikonnen he was taking the piss.

Anyone else think Alonso let him by at the hairpin just so he didn't take him out? Seemed to leave the door wide open and then his comments after the race RE the championship contenders being vulnerable to those with less to lose taking more risks.

Well to be fair, that was more overtaking than I have seen at Monaco than most years. Not a good race to criticise just the tyres....

It's not what happened on track, it's the fact Perez is blaming KR.

From what I saw Checo didnt have enough of the car alongside at the time Kimi turned in, in the space of a few feet Kimi had commited to turning the wheel just as the Mclaren got its wing alongside the rear wheels of the Lotus. Checo came in too quick, he locked up when he tried to make the move on Alonso, but he was very much more alongside the Ferrari at the corner, Alonso saw the lock up and decided to cut the corner to avoid the accident.
He made the move look great on Button though, but after that he seemed to get a little more cocky in the manouver.

Hey I didn't start watching the race until 11 last night after being at Silverstone and Mallory all weekend - CD's on the car stereo, no time to watch the TV, and threats of Euro500 fines for anyone on the radio who mentioned anything more than if it was a good or bad race seemed to do the trick!

Well My Missus and I were away with the kids for the weekend and did a brilliant job of avoiding all news of any description so we could watch the race Monday evening when we were back. Only for CBeebies of all places to read out the bloody race result Monday morning!
