I bought a car which has 6 or 7 owners club and event stickers on the inside of the windscreen. That's not really my thing, so want to remove,

They have been there for a while, so pretty hard to shift. What's the best way to go about it?

Thanks

Heat up the outside of the glass with a hair dryer and use rubbing alcohol to remove the sticker from the inside, or spray WD-40 onto the stickers and they should after a few minutes peel off. Then clean the glass with a high quality glass cleaner.

Soak with something like Nil Glass, then carefully scrape away with this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Retractable-Window-Scrap...

Razor blade everytime it will not mark the glass.
Use a solvent to remove any excess glue left behind, be carefull not to drip it over any interior surfaces as it may mark it, simples!!!

If you use a single edge blade and window cleaner, you won't need solvent. /simples.

This is great stuff. You might find it in Screwfix if you can't wait.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/151-Products-Sticker-Remov...

Put it on, leave five minutes, the sticker wipes off or you can scrape it. Dead easy.

The razor advice above is good - as long as the car doesn't have a heated front windscreen.

I used to PDI cars at a Ford dealership, was given a razor scraper but told never to use it on heated front windscreens due to the filaments.

Front screens are laminated and the filaments are on the inside of that sandwich construction. But the warning would be correct for rear screens though - the have 'em on stuck to the inside of the glass and easily damaged with a blade.
