As above has anybody any for or against comments.
I saw a demo at the weekend and based on the fact that we have no spares and the foam spray is a "might be able to get you home" product, this seems to be the answer.
If you believe what they say and what I saw when a bradal was stuck into the tyre it sealed immediately, with a small tell tail of the blue product.
£50 for 4 tyres not bad for no punctures or am I missing something?

Yes, I saw the demo as well and sounded impressive. Not done any further research since, but looked at the speel at who they had supported in the past , post office etc., so looked like a reasonable product.

At the prices they were quoting and the small weight added, sounded to me like a good alternative to tyre weld.

Just read a bunch of reviews and on the whole they are positive.

Main points...

Treat it as a temporary solution, not as a perminant fix to a punctured tyre
Fitters hate the stuff, so get a quote for fitting time and say you have the stuff in the tyres
Can invalidate some tyre warrantys
Plenty of products on the market that do this sort of thing, I.e ultraseal.

No real screamers identified from my quick look.

I would have thought anything it can cope with the foam would anyway and I think I'd rather know I had a puncture at the time it happened so I could do something about it properly rather than risk finding out later and suddenly at the worst possible time...

Basil this stuff is supposed to be good for high speed as well, what was concerning me was running on a rim and the damage caused, also when on holiday for the cost of the stuff per wheel it could save some serious money.
They said it would not unbalance the wheel and was a wipe off job for the tyre fitters when the time came to replace the tyre.

All my road cars have realtime TPMS systems fitted, so I will know immediately when problems happen (like they did various times last winter). My issue is that the tyre holds out until I get home or am able to get to a repair place.

As the nails etc seem to get stuck in the low profile tyres, you need to replace them if too much air escapes. Seems like a good solution to me to stop this happening and keep the tyre up at pressure to stop them getting buggered.

All comments indicate the stuff works fine at high speed. Not sure about track days, but that's not my concern.

Fair enough. I guess if the damage is small enough for this stuff to work then probably not going to impact the structure of the tyre much.

That's ok if tyre can then be repaired, my understanding is tyres cant be repaired after using tyre weld so same may apply with this.

The guy told me that they don't have to be repaired they seal automatically and that seal is for good. It will even seal around a nail or a screw, hence you have to check your tyres a bit more regularly and if you find a nail or screw then remove it, as you do it will seal for the life of the tyre.
