Hi can anyone help with any information on fitting a steering rack to a London cab chassis?
The Peregrine 1930's Bentley look alike made by 356 Sports used this conversion but there were only a few of these built! this is a long shot, but as anyone a copy of the build manual for sale, or know how and what make of rack they fitted?
I have a sales brochure if anybody wants a copy!

Any help would be gratefully received thanks Peter

I believe these were Austin based and had a steering box not a rack.

Hi Thanks for your comments, the FX4 taxi chassis are all the same, and are as you say fitted with a steering box, but in the information that I have it says that the front axle is moved forward 4" and a steering rack is fitted! I don't want to move the axle but do need to fit a rack and if I can find out what rack they used it may save some time.
