Hi,

I've recently bought a banger C5 HDi and was just wondering what the normal operating coolant temp should be? This one seems to sit at around 80degC (checked with an OBD reader). That sounds a little low, but might be as expected?

Cheers for any help!

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like it's about normal then.

I was a bit unsure as I'm used to cars where the coolant gauge sits in the middle and this sits a bit under (sorry the photo is the wrong way round!):

I wouldn't worry as long as it sits at a constant temperature once warmed up.
