Cooking at my mums and just added some thai red curry paste to a huge wok full of lovely lamb.

Then checked the date, and the paste best before was 06 2008.

Was still in its vacuum sealed plastic pouch.....have done the sniff test, smells like curry!!

What do the PH massive think?

I was working on the Wedge on a lovely sunny day. I have in my gararge a fridge ( well stocked ) for such occasions. Earlier I had selected an ice cold can of Coke ( full fat ) which I had a couple of sips from and put down.

A little later I was 'furtleing' around looking for some spanner or other and noticed my Coke on the shelf.

Picked it up and took a huge gulp. Thing is it was my Coke but unfortunately from around seven months previously !

It had about a full centimetre of green mould growing on the surface and a large partially decomposed wasp that I luckily managed to 'sick' back up....

I'm still here …. I think ...

I have some MOD ration packs bought for camping that I occasionally chomp on when I really can't be arsed to go to the shops and the fridge is empty. Packed date of 2003, I'm still here wink

You'll be fine!

Pasteurised to within n inch of it's (your!) life. Fear not with this, it has so many preservative ingredients it will survive longer than Cockroaches.
