Tamora Suspension
Discussion
If you're thinking of doing it yourself, check earlier posts re-a myriad of dampers/spring rates/bushes etc. Depends on the depth of your pockets
If you want someone to do the work for you - check/call Neil - Not too far from Brizzle:

You will probably get a lot of different answers to this. Depends how much you want to spend and whether you want any adjustment in the shocks.
The Gaz Gold Pros fitted to my Tamora have been ok, although the dampers just had some work under warrantly to replace seals as they started leaking after only 18 months and 6000 miles. I also upped the rear spring rates as I felt they were too soft in the standard kit.
Gaz Gold Pros can be found at about £600 fitted, although not sure if that includes full geo. Gaz have been good about the faults and covered them under a 2 year warranty.
Plenty of people rate Nitrons, they are around twice the cost, and Nitron also recommend damper servicing every 12-18k miles.

Indeed you will find many different answers!
I've recently bought a set of Nitrons (40mm) and found them uncomfortably stiff on the B roads that I frequent, (400 Front and 350 Rear, probably great on track days) so have dropped the rates.
In all honesty if I was doing it again I'd probably keep the factory springs and get a set of Bilstein dampers as they are relatively cheap and I've always found them to be very good quality.

I had nitrons fitted to my t350 with eibach springs. I've no idea on the spring rates, but certainly improved the handling in my totally not expert perception. STR8SIX installed and set up for me, which was for road/track use.
Certainly feels much more composed on the road and is spot on for track. It is a lot firmer and on some bumpier roads it can be uncomfortable so may not be to all tastes. I have debated softening it up but as its mostly for weekend fun have left as is. I would say if you are not after track set up and do go for nitrons be aware of this. I have been told the eibach springs are stiffer.

So what happened with dropping the rates?I've recently bought a set of Nitrons (40mm) and found them uncomfortably stiff on the B roads that I frequent, (400 Front and 350 Rear, probably great on track days) so have dropped the rates.

Thought my 46mm nitrons were pretty ridiculous at delivery settings (10 out of 24) but now set to 7 and I'm pretty happy with it now, feels in the same ballpark comfort wise as my elise. Its still firm but not stupidly so and still well behaved.
My original set was so bouncy it would often cause head to roof interfacing, especially nasty when keeping shades on top of head...
It would be best for the Op to go for a ride in a few diffferent setups so he knows what hes getting into. Its very subjective, and adjustable sets can feel totally different at different settings.

I will post an update on the original thread once I've spoken to the guys at Nitron (hopefully tomorrow) as it might be unfair to post something if I don't have the full story. But basically I've dropped from 400/350 to 350/300 and I'm much happier for everyday use. I also recommend not trying to set Nitron 40mm dampers stiffer than 14 clicks from soft as their performance sharply deteriorates.
Just had a full suspension refurb on mine and didn't want some multi adjustable track day wonder car, just a well balanced, decent handling AND riding set up. Spoke to the guys a HHC and after a bit discussion we settled on the latest spec bilsteins, with new standard spec eibach springs and also stuck with rubber bushes albeit renewed all round. Spot on!
Hope you get sorted
