I think the point is that certain disastrous events at football matches get airtime and publicity, minute silences etc and others don't.Apart from it being in the UK, maybe Hillsborough gets brought up each year because the families of the 96 have made it their mission to keep it fresh in people's minds until justice is rightly done. Heysel was no less of a disaster, but at least some of those responsible were brought to account and that included the secretary-general of the Belgian Football Union and a senior policeman, as well as the Liverpool "fans". No consolation or true closure for the families of the Heysel dead I'm sure but at least there wasn't a complete cover-up with no prosecutions.
