Nasty sound from the wipers
Discussion
Just noticed that I get a nasty scrapping noise from under the dashboard while the wipers are going. Definitely wasn't there a couple of days ago and I really don't want to be caught out in the rain with no wipers regardless of whether the windscreen has been rain-x'd or not.
Anyone have suggestions on what to do or what would have caused this?

The wipers work about as well as Griff wipers ever work although the O/S arm seems to have rotated slightly but that may be my lack of observation skills showing....
The noise only occurs as the wiper arms reach the extreme of their movement. It has to be something connected to the motor but I can't figure out what it can be rubbing against (other than bodywork) and why it has started doing it now

Not sure what they are like inside, but some wipers i have seen in the past.
The wiper bolts down onto a cog like bolt which is what turns the wiper, prehaps this cog has worn and is arring on turning after teh wiper has reached where it has stopped.
Does it make the noise at both ends of arch?
