Not really what I was expecting from a car in that price range, any comments what to do ?
Anybody asked Aston Martin ?
The car is located in Germany so not really a country with heavy sun......

Both tend to happen in hot countries
Both can often be fixed by stretching and rebonding the leather
Passenger side will be hard to access

car is sitting under shelter most of the times only during the day in not so sunny germany, so I am quite pissed about this.
AND NO it has not been touched, all a result of not so good craftmanship......

My dash on the left has done the same.... Cars in having service, geo set up and a few other bits done.. They are going to stretch and re fit....

Like you though I am seriously dissapointed in the quality... I did go to Aston and they told me it was wear & tear?? B@ll@x was my reply to that!!!

It can be put right....

I thought this has happened to most earlier Aston's because of the glue they were using at the time? My car was fixed under warranty years ago and has not happened since.

Could I ask what year the car is? Doesn't look good like you say, hope it gets sorted for you.

si it seems like there will be no help from Aston, the car is 2006, it would be very helpful
if there is some guidance how to remove the dash and instrument cover. There are skilled trimmers around here
but they probably do not like to touch this exotic car.

thanks

I think the binnacle will be a problem. There is very little excess leather and it is almost impossible to stretch it to be able to re-glue it, especially as the leather is obviously drying out.

I had the binnacle problem and paid half the cost of a new one split with the dealer (about £140 I think).

Dear Karl,

thanks that will help me a lot, does not look to difficult !
I am writing guides myself whenever I fix something on a car that I could not find one for.
