Do I replace all the coil packs - 996tt
Discussion
On an n/a 996 and on a Cayenne turbo they tend to be £25-30 each so not really a wallet breaker. I had one fail on my old C4S which made me think it had lost a whole bank with the way the car vibrated. I had the lot changed at the time. On the Cayenne Turbo they were still working, but seen as even more of a consumable item. To do with the boost blowing the spark out and putting strain on the coils. I had them all replaced at the last service I had carried out on it. For the price it's worth the peace of mind. It won't cost you anything extra for labour if you have it done at a service.
Back bumper, intercoolers all removed etc to access coils so if no evidence of them all being done within say a couple of years or 20,000 miles I would definately replace all of them due to them already been in there to access the faulty one.
Don't understand coil being burnt to be honest, cracked is more common.. Should be shielded from most of the extreme heat and never seen any burnt ones whilst servicing TT's

P.s Would fit Bosch or Beru coils only
