I first did some searching on Pistonheads what the general public thinks of the car and yea well.. it doesn't seem to be a winner.

But here's mine anyway.

I'm 25 and from Belgium.
Have it since December 2010 (bought it new) its the GT 1.2 TCe and it's my first car.

I've added some mods to it. I'm probaly one of the few that has done so much mods to a Wind.

- Weitec coilovers
- Skytune catback exhaust
- Forge reciculating dumpvalve
- Sparco cone filter with cold air feed
- Renault Sport shifter
- Added the chrome cowls
- Renaultsport mats
- Remap from 97 bhp to 127bhp & 190 Nm
- Added some carbon parts (carbon side mirrors & carbon wrapped front nose details)
- 17' OZ Superturismo WRC wheels
- ICE upgrade with Hertz compo set, subwoofer & amp

On the original wheels:

I also took it to the Nurburgring and it's no super car but I had tons of fun!

Anyway, that's it.. be gentle on me loser

That's actually really nice! Really like the modifications you have done to it, not too over the top but just right! biggrin

The SuperTs look great on the car too, makes me miss my old set! frown

Any other plans for it OP?

For a first car that's great. Nice mods too. I'd paint the wheels black personally though.

I was all ready to jump on this, but that does look really nice. Well done. As said above, nice mods which have really improved the standard car without going over the top, or making it look too modded.

That last picture reminds me of the mrk 1 Vauxhall Tigra.

As far as first cars go, that's a cracker.
Have a friend with a blue one, funky little things.

I've been modding it for the past 2 years and I'm thinking of taking it easy now.

Have some spacers ordered and I've got my eyes on a winter set wheels containing some Enkei wheels that are for sale for a bargain.

Painting the OZ's black is not the first time someone suggested it. Maybe next year when I'm tired of keeping them nice and white.

Was planning on some (more) horsepower mods.
I still have some Clio 172 injectors laying around but unfortunatly the Belgian law doesn't like it when you start tunning your engine and definatly engine swaps are a big no-no here but it is nice to know that a Megane 220 RS engine fits in the engine bay tongue out

I always thought they missed an opportunity for something like this.

Just what are Renault up to now!

amazing what a difference the wheels make! it's actually not a bad looking car! eek

ps i'd keep the wheels white as they match the front grille bits

I always thought they were good looking, this one is even nicer.

Is it still on sale in Belgium, it's been cancelled here?

Better than anyone would've expected. Very nice little motor. Probably quite quick with the remap too, presumably these are pretty light.

The front grills are no longer white but they've been carbon wrapped so I guess black wheels would suit it better now.

They have been discontinued in Belgium too.

Well 127 Bhp for a 1.2 isn't bad, a friend of mine has a Twingo RS Gordini @ 141bhp and let's say, depending on the situation on the road, it's perfomance wise a tie. He has a little more horsepower but I have more torque than he does biggrin

The Wind is basically a Twingo Spider (my coilovers are for a Twingo RS)

It flips over, all in one motion.

Great car OP. I drove a GT Line 1.6 for a bit and it was a great laugh. I bet yours handles nicely with the coilovers!!!

Really like the look of these and despite there being one on my street I don't think I've seen another one on the road. Despite liking them though having owned an RS Megane for 2.5 years its safe to say I will never buy anything with a Renault badge again! Electrical faults plus shocking build quality being the major gripes.

None the less I don't think you can get much better than that for a first car and the mods really suit it! Well done.......my first car was a Metro!

I've never really given these a proper look but it's actually quite nice. Not a fan of Super Ts, I think I prefer the originals to be honest. Grilles look better dark too
