1997 BMW M3 Evo Saloon

Recently acquired this '97 Evo saloon after spotting it for sale at a good price. I was originally looking for a coupe but then saw this and decided there's something quite subtle about a silver 3 series saloon - everyone's got one right? A lot of petrolheads I've spoken to didn't even realise that they made a saloon.
She's covered 118k miles and is in pretty good condition for her age although the wheels could use a refurb. Main priority job is to renew the conrod shell bearings and fit ARP rod bolts so I can sleep a little easier at night.
Spent a little time on a machine polish and general clean up:

I think the saloon is the best body style for the E36. I prefer the clean lines without the spoiler, but that's just my view.

Thanks! My original plan was to find a spoilerless boot lid for it which I may still do but I like the spoiler now I've realised that it's the more sought after factory fit spoiler rather than the dealer fit one.I think the saloon is the best body style for the E36. that looks fantastic! Since they were new, I have preferred the saloons (and would have preferred the touring over that if there were more than a handful <non BMW built i know>).
The interior looks really comfortable and smart yet i know the sound it can make is anything but. Shines up nicely.

although an M3 with wood trim looks wrong to my eyes. Very nice, when I was considering an E36 M3 some time ago the saloon was the one I secretly lusted after. A little more sleeper imo (I like sleepers!), but the only thing at the time that put me off was lack of split/fold rear seats in the saloon.
Fast forward a couple of years, and seeing this has upset my Porsche 944 plan, I think realsitically it could be the 944 or one of these!!
Bit of a boring question, but what kind of mpg do you get from the Evo? A friend of a friend had a coupe Evo some time ago, and used to say that the consumption was very, very bad. Like low 20's. He did have a heavy right foot though!!
