The last journey....
Discussion
Tomorrow I'm going to be delivering my S to the chap that bought it from me on eBay last week, it's only a short trip to Swindon (~35 miles) but it will be nice to have one last run in the car.
Have to say I am really sad to see the S go, it has been almost faultlessly reliable, cheap to run and great fun. If it weren't for the prospect of redundency looming I'd have happily kept it and run it alongside the Chimaera.
I'm going to be putting one of my bikes on eBay this weekend too, I figure I ought to get a cash buffer in place for when my company finally let me go (it's a "when" not an "if"). I was supposed to finish on 15th June but they've given me a new assignment that takes me through to August now.
TBH I didn't think I'd feel quite so sad at letting the S go, since I bought the Chim in October it's only really been used a few times, but I really did like looking at them parked together on the drive.
I hope the new owner (Bob) joins in here, I'll certainly recommend he does.
