My car dosent run very hot
Discussion
In fact it ran 69-72 , last weekend to Spa and back ,( it was very cold outside) it will go to 92 sat in a Belgian traffic jam where the first fan cycles. I get going again and back down to 72 max.
I replaced the Rad about 4 weeks ago and it is done it since then.
What magic does it need to get it back up to at least 80 where is does run smoother.
Thanks
David

Dave,
Guess you were the chap I spoke to at the Hotel Verviers with duct tape over the pepperpot grill?
The thermostat does control warm-up time and the temp of engine....by modulating flow of coolant ex engine block to the radiator. My Tuscan typically runs in the range 75-80 deg.C when m-way cruising. I would add that on the Sunday, going to the track, it took an age to get the oil up to temp. on the A road...in fact as I went up to 70-80 mph the oil temp dropped down, it was so chilly.
A change of 'stat might help then.
