So, plug the Defender's VRN in to a well known comparison site where you can Go and Compare quotes....
The site auto-detects the truck is a TD5 without rear windows so punts me off to their van sub-site.
Best quote, £400+ with absolutely no frills, not even windscreen cover even though I'd specified 100% non-business use.
Went back to main site, selected "My car is not listed", so then entered the details manually using the drop down menus, narrowing it down to a TD5 Defender "estate, but that was their definition based on me saying it's a year 2000 2.5litre diesel 90.
£220, with more bells and whistles than a one man band.
I reckon that Welsh opera singer bloke must be called Robin B'stard.
