Waddington airshow question.

wondered if someone can help me, I'm looking at going to this airshow and can go either day.

all tickets look like they sold out very quickly for the Saturday but the Sunday still has a lot of spaces left, my question is if I go on the Sunday am I missing out on anything?

a quick look around their website suggests that the breitling wing walkers will only be there on the Sunday but that I will miss out on something French, sorry can't remember what. if anyone knows of a reason why the Saturday is better please let me know as could just do general admission.

If i'm reading it correctly, you can still buy a General Admission ticket for Saturday, looks like only the grandstand seating has sold out.

Yes sorry its the grandstand I'm wanting as looks like it gets very busy in general admission.

We used to go in the Grandstand every year.

We no only buy a general admission ticket as there is never a problem getting a good view.

We are going Sunday this year, not too concerned about missing Patrouille de France.

The main reason im thinking grandstand is that I figured it would be standing room only and my wife wouldn't be comfortable standing for such a long time if it isn't that busy then general admission woukd be fine.
Saturday would be better for me as would like to watch the f1 on the Sunday, may take a picnic blanket and not bother with grandstand then.

It depends what you want to do. The airshow is massive and there are many things to see and do other than watch the display.

There are many areas where you can sit down and still see the display.

We always take our own chairs and have a picnic, we always get a good view. I would advise taking your own food, the offerings there are fairly basic and very expensive.

Mainly interested in the flying display. Have been to quite a few airshows in former years on the trade days due to connections so been up close and personal with a lot of both civil and military aircraft but due to them being trade days the flying displays where not the best.

Might treat myself to a couple of deck chairs and find a nice quiet spot to watch the display.

Ok, if the winds are prevailing then you can get a great view towards the coach park. The aircraft land close off to the left and you get a view down the flight line.
