i cant think of a rear wheel drive application of the 1.9 engine? if none would require a plate to adapt the engine to box
might be easier to hunt out a sierra or granada diesel some sierras had a peugeot 2.3 diesel a tough unit but probably very heavy as it was old school engine design thick wall block etc

The unit was fitted in the last LDV Pilots (Sherpa's!) as RWD with a 5 speed box.
I agree about the the 2.3. The 1.9 XUD is quite a good power unit for a non-turbo, quiet & not too heavy. They have been fitted in all sorts of production vehicles from Peugeot 205's to Sherpa's.
Not many kitcars seem to pop up with diesel engines but I thought something like a Jago might be suitable when my Citreon ZX die's.
