We've bought and sold a couple through our place. In my experience they're always in a very tidy condition and come with an enormous spec. It wouldn't put me off and it's not put off any of our customers.

Go for it, it's a lovely looking car.

I'd guess they'd be very well maintained but I have always (rightly/wrongly) taken the view that journalists will treat them like a hire car and thrash them. Look at Monkey, if he drove them sedately, he'd make dull videos and I guess that's what you'd want to see, the car being pushed further than you would ordinarily take it.

lol, I think that video should put the purchase into perspective!

I once got hold of a 997 supposed "Directors Car". Wondered why the powerkit felt a lot less grunty than the standard car to find the car had thousands of overrevs of the wrong type. Then found out the car was a press car been ragged around just about every track in the country. Dealer just hung up on me when I found this out. Anyway, choose carefully would be my advice!

The ad now says sold. How much were they asking for the car?

That makes me realise what a great deal I have had this week on a brand new one.

I can't put the deal on the forum but if you DM me I can let you know. I still have the gullwing, loads of traders after it but no private buyers. Will probably sell it in the next few weeks.

The roadster is black with Designo black and red interior, red roof, AMG 10 spoke wheels, carbon interior, carbon mirrors, red calipers, B & O stereo etc.
