Newark Kit Car Show, June 15th and 16th

Is there a TVR stand/display area at Newark this year? I think I read or heard that there was, but looking on the show plan, there is no mention of it.

Is this a good event to go to with the TVR as an exhibitor, and how many others are going?

The long range weather forecast for the weekend looks very good.

I am to go for one day. IIRC we have been offered an area but I'm not sure how many will go (this was a potential venue for SCH and Chimfest but that's now at Thoresby).

I'm hoping to be there Sunday but usually mines parked with the Dutton club. That is as long as everything is ok once I replace the otter switch this week after it failed today

If the weather looks ok, I intend camping Fri pm, and staying until Sunday afternoon.
If it's not so good, I'll just visit on Saturday.
I have enjoyed this show 3 times & recommend it, plenty to do & see.

I think...and hope that you just get in.

Go to the exhibitors entrance and tell them you are with the TVRs. If they question your validity, tell them your car is a VW Beetle based kit with a rover V8 and a body kit from a small company in Blackpool - they wont know.

Alternatively, say it is an early prototype for a new kit manufacturer starting up in Surrey, and Les said it would be OK for you to get in...

That sounds like a great plan Andy. Your are obviously a blagger in the know. May be a copy of this months tvr Tuscan based kit car monthly would to sway them. Hopefully see you there.
