Had a flat battery after the winter so put in new battery and had no power steering, turned out that the fuse was rusty in beside the battery. I put a new holder and fuse on it and all was well. Now I have no power steering again, the fuse is fine and i've checked the wires, i've got power at both sides of the fuse and power in the green wire that runs along side the fuse. The fuse in the fuse box under steering colum is fine. Any other ideas.
Thanks for your help.

I'll have another go tomorrow but when I power the green wire from the plug at the battery I can hear the relay clicking. I've also checked the voltage at both sides of both this plug and the fuse and all is reading fine. I'll take the bonnet off tomorrow and get into the pas pump and check the voltage there.
Thanks

I am sure when I was investigating my PS problems (it was the relay in my case) Graham V suggested looking at the fuse for the Lambda heaters (7.5A - 6th up from the bottom of the fuse board) not sure why now, I guess it could be a control/signal voltage to the relay as it has both a 12v switched and permanent supply

It's ok for the first quarter turn of the wheel but after that its very heavy, gives you a work out in the twisties.

Hi Sandy, I'm in Fife mate. Some great roads round about you, if you can avoid the caravans frown
I got stopped at the lights at the side of the loch then got a clear run almost all the way down, great fun smile
