Name this bass

There are a lot of experts on musical instruments around here, so I'm hoping one of you will be able to tell me what manufacturer this symbol belongs to? It's on a 5 string electric bass, no clues or serial numbers anywhere on it except on the back it says headstock licensed to Ernie Ball. But Google didn't turn up any evidence that Ernie Ball has ever released a bass guitar, I only found the strings that the company is famous for. It looks like an Ernie Ball / Musicman stringray but doesn't say that on the headstock so I'm expecting it's a copy (the "Officially licenced Product" script kind of hints that way too), but the question is, a good copy or a bad one?

So... anyone recognise this symbol?

EDIT: Ah, found it, OLP is the company's actual name! OK, it looks like a half decent replica.

OLP are one of the many companies that made replica Musicman models.. I tried one a while back and they're not bad, but it is a cheap Chinese bass in the end. Guessing they stopped being made as licensed copies when the 'budget' Musicman SUB came out, which incidentally is a good buy for the money, I tried one back to back with my 1992 Stingray and it isn't the same but not miles out in feel or sound.

OLP did a Tony Levin signature Musicman Stingray bass that was actually pretty good.

Yeah I've seen that one mentioned occasionally on the forums as I've been trying to learn more about these models. The one I've stumbled across isn't one of those, it's a standard blonde five string from what I can tell. Doesn't even have a serial number anywhere and it's beaten up too, the electrics need a complete refurb. It's very quiet and has no... edge. There's no brightness in the sound, though that could be down to the iffy pots I guess. I believe they have two volume pots (none of them are working and one is missing so I can't even tell what the pots are supposed to be doing) or it could just be down to me not playing it with enough punch.

Still, I need a bass, the wood and everything seems good and it's straight and tunes up OK so it may be worth a stab as a fixer - upper beginner bass.
