T350 Targa roof panel needs fixing
Discussion
I drive a T350 which still has the old style targa panels. A week ago I was cruising back from Zolder only doing 120km/h and the clip at the back must have gotten to loose because the panel got launched about 20 meters in the air. Luckily it 'landed' not on the road but on some grass.
The thing is that I found a part of carbon in the back of my car (where the rear clip attaches to the panel).
Has anybody got some ideas where I can get these fixed properly?
I have been looking for a set of secondhand panels but no luck sofar.
Thanks,
Tom.

All the roof panels are carbon - some are painted and some left bare. You can try the usual breakers but they will be rare - only a hundred or so targas made and less than 60 on the road.Hi Tom.

This is exactly what happened to me... I also had to play a game of real live frogger to get my panel back from the reservation. Check out my link below on what happened to me a few years ago.

I have currently fixed it myself so I can drive again when there is a chance for rain.
In the end what did you do? TET Mouldings?

Hi Tom,
I know a few sources where you could get a quality composite repair in carbon.
One is Sigma Composites in Buckingham, there are also a few guys who are formula 1 composite guys who can probably do it cheaper as a job on the side. Let me know if you need details.

Hi Matt,
Thanks for the tip. I asked the seller some information on the type of catches used. They will probably be the new style and I need the old style panels. I have a second T350t in bits and pieces but the car was a late 2004 model so the panels are different to my other early 2004 T350t.
But I appreciate the help a lot. Thanks.

Gutted for you Tom how unlucky is that. Is the design in the catch mech such a big difference? Is there not away round it? Either way I hope you get something sorted. Thanks for the tip. Steve: I didn't realise they were so rare. Are all the owners in the uk?

Hi,
I have placed a bid for the e-bay panels. We'll see what happens. Thanks again Mattt.
My local TVR garage is actually quite sure there have to be more targa panels available at Multipart but even he has no idea what the partnumbers are. And I need the numbers before Multipart can have a look.
Has somebody tot an idea where I could find these numbers?
Thanks.
