I seem to have eaten something dodgy on Friday night, a pepperoni pizza cooked by a friend of mine and Saturday was not a pleasant day. After being very sick at the start of the day and end of the day I am now shattered, having hardly eaten all weekend. Problem is a 'catch 22'. I need to eat to build strength back up but my stomach still feels very delicate and I can't escape the feeling of being sick again although I do think that has all passed now.

Whats the best things to eat/drink in this situation?

You will not have seriously depleted your reserves in two days; it won't matter if you don't eat at all for another few. Make sure you do get water. As soon as that stays down try something plain like oats with milk or a baked potato.

I'd avoid dairy for the moment.

Drink boiled water, eat plain toast.

you don't need boiled water. Our water in the UK is fine.

Try sugary drinks without fizz.

all alse fails then milky tea and the BRAT combo as previously mentioned.

Thanks, I am getting over it a bit but my intestines still ache and I am still very tired a lot of the time which I guess is due to lack of food. Problem is that my body may not be quite up to lots of food yet so I am a bit stuck.

The only thing making this worse is all the pizza jokes from family and friends! If I never see another one again.....

May not have been the pizza - dirty hands/door handle, you scratching your arse etc
