Getting this more and more.

Persistence seems to be the key (i.e. keep trying and eventually it goes to the linked page), and so the explanation that it's likely that it's due to "a broken link" is a lot of twaddle. (copy and pasting the link works fine)

Which link were you getting that from? It might be that there's one particular affiliate that is having a problem, and we'll refer it to Skimlinks.

It works pretty quietly in the background for the most part, and in all the years we've been running it we've only very rarely had any issues.

Most recently, it was the link to the car in the OP in this thread but I've noticed it a few times.

It's definitely not the link that is wrong, as it usually works after a few attempts.

Thanks. I don't mean that the link is wrong, only that the skimlinks process (which works by automatically adding affiliate code when it can) might be a little broken for one particular retailer, causing the hanging issue.

Hi Eugine.

Thanks for letting us know. Is this happening off a particular page on the site? or link?

You still use internet explorer, in the year 2016?

Download Chrome it's much faster and less buggy.
