I have the oh so beautifully nicknamed baboons arse dash in my Mk2 Tuscan and recently the digital dash has been playing silly buggers. It has three states of play, fine, faint and so faint it’s unreadable (sorry officer). And it might be my imagination but I think it sound a little rough on start-up when the dash is not right (although the car seems to run fine once going so this might be my paranoia).
The state only changes when the car is switched off and then re-started. Once it’s on it doesn’t change.
Has anyone had anything similar with their Tuscan? Or any ideas on what the issue might be?
Thanks,
Tom

When it's warm, go into settings and try adjusting the screen brightness down. I found mine works best set to 6 on the dimmer.

Thanks, i will check these things out. Just seems strange that it could change between states from one second to the next. I have tried switching the car off rather than starting it and then switching back on and it does change the display intensity. If it was a loose connection i would expect it to change as the car was moving but it only changes when you switch the car on and off.
