When we first had car the wing mirrors would stay "out" unless told to do otherwise...since a service the mirrors now fold in when the ignition is turned off and I cant get them to stay "out" with the car locked.( It was a shame as the car was on the grid at Goodwood last w/end with the blooming mirrors folded and it just dosnt look as good. How do I lock the thing with the mirrors "out" oh clever people.
Depending on the age of your car the control of what the wing mirrors do on locking is either set by the dealer using AM software (older cars) or set via the car settings on the dashboard (newer cars). I think the change was in 2008 or 2009 but stand to be corrected on the date it all changed.

My DB9 is 2007 MY and when I first got the car, the mirrors were static whether locked or not.The dealership plugged in their gizmo and reprogrammed the mirrors to open out when inserting the ignition key and folded in when locking the car.
Not sure how to leave the mirrors "out" when locked though.

It's likely the dealer has done this for you without asking, happened to me; I had it set back again. I am happy to fold my mirrors by pushing buttons when I want to, not every time I get in and out.
dealer has probably applied a software update to the latest version. All the later cars do this auto mirror thing on locking.
IIRC you can disable it in the menu though.
