My experieince has been that after the first 1500-2000 miles, they don't use any.

My 997 used a little over the first couple of K, maybe half a litre. Not used any measurable amount since, though it is changed annually, at around 3K mile intervals.

Man asking for this from a number of owners is asking for it. Same with how much everyone paid for their "identical" car, how much gas mileage the engine gets, etc. Everyone's price will be lower then what you paid. Everyone's car will get better gas mileage, and everyone's car will use less oil than your's.

Relax.

Your car's engine will use what oil it uses.

If you find the oil consumption too high -- check the owners manual for what is considered too high -- then you can see about having something done under warranty.

My guess is you won't find any oil consumption issue worth worrying about.

The range of course assuming it is not too high is between just under too high to practically nil.

Depends upon how you drive, what oil you use, how often you change it, how full you run the oil level, and the alignment of the planets both major and minor.

My 997.1 C2S uses around a litre and a half every 1000 miles. I've spoken to Porsche and apparently this is acceptable - the car's been looked at and it's apparently in good health. This has been the case for 10,000 miles over 11 months so if next month's service doesn't reduce the oil consumption, I guess it's normal. There are no leaks and nothing to suggest it's burning anything excessive, no mayo on the filler cap or anything.

Guess a 911 really suits me then, we both like a drink!
