I guess that is same as my old 1.6 petrol Meganne then (£125 last week) - which looking at it that way seems ok!

Don't tax it for 6 months. Its a false economy I'm surprised more people haven't clocked.

Its cheaper if you tax for a year and there are no penalties for reclaiming back any unused tax.
When you SORN the car anything you haven't used you get back in full on a 1/12th of the annual fee.

I've taxed mine a couple of times for 6 months only to find either the month before I taxed it or the month after it ran out have been fantastic and I've missed out on some great driving weather.

I now tax it in April for a year so I can go to the Chatsworth Gathering
And SORN it in Sept for my 6 months. Or keep it on the road for October if the weather is looking pretty good and it only costs about at extra £15 for the month and you get a nice little bonus from HMRC in time for the Christmas do.
