There is a list of torque settings on this thread. I just tighten mine nothing too specific. Copper slip will be fine and your stiffnuts should be ok but obviously new would be better.

I would concurr with Carsy, coppaslip grease and torque as per the great info on the link. By the way, I always use new bolts, nuts washers etc whenever I do any job, for such a small cost it is worth it every time. If not the bolts always replace the nyloc nut.
