Powder coating alloys, colour options
Discussion
Getting the Disco's alloy's cleaned up and powder coated in a few weeks, but still not sure on possible colour options.
With the car being silver and having the black arches, i could go for a black, or grey but not sure.
Have thought about Matt black, dark chrome, a light smoked grey, and just getting them sorted and done in the original colour.
What would you do?
Any other colour's to consider. Nothing garish, so pink is out Tony..

3 silver's.
Hmm, no one going for black or grey or such?
OT, the guy is murder to get a hold of, doesn't seem to work after 12 so the tyre's still waiting to get seen.
If i can't get hold of him and get the tyre in this week, i have a D4 owning mate going to take the wheel through to a place in Edinburgh with a 30 year experience of fixing tyres.

I just got my wheels powder coated through in Edinburgh at newlife tyres for £270 all in. I dropped the car off in the morning (8am) and got the car back by 3pm that afternoon with the wheels all sorted. They took the tyres off and rebalanced them. I got the whhels done in "flat silver". Its as close to OEM that I could get.
I'd say medium/dark grey personally, not in a high-gloss finish though, satin would be nicer.
One other thing - avoid black. It can look really good but unless you religiously apply tyre dressing every wash, and wash your car once a week, the tyres end up a lighter shade than the wheels, and that just looks nasty.

Well, I was £260 for 4 wheels of 17"...
Where from? There's a place just outside Chapelhall that can do all 5 for £250. No idea on how good/bad they are though.
Still need to get the buckled one straightened as well.
