997.2 RS - can anyone confirm only 35 UK reg cars?

Quoted from Nick Whale -
The generation 2 GT3RS was introduced in May 2010 and described by many as the best drivers 911 yet. A substantially revised car from the Generation 1 model, it includes a 3.8 litre engine with 444bhp. Exclusivity is ensured with only 35 being supplied through the official UK dealer network.

I was under the impression approx 100 'UK' cars, so surprised to hear it could be as low as 35! Nick Whale used to own an OPC so could his source be correct??

So around 110 997.2 GT3 RS cars were registered in the UK.
^^^ That's approx the number i was under the impression of - certainly seems most consistent from searching on internet. It just threw me someone (ex-OPC) stating 35. A mate just bought another one and got me hankering after one now..

Not sure what you are saying here, the number is a pretty good estimate.
the figures you posted include the 6rs and the 7.1rs and are for cars registered/taxed .the figures i posted are from the dvla VEH0160(up to sept.2012) cars registered new for the first time so gives an accurate picture for the 997.2gt3rsGassing Station | Porsche General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
