How do I find my PIN code
Discussion
Had some new tyres fitted to the XJR today and somehow the tyre fitting place managed to flatten the battery.
They jump started the car and after a few miles to charge it up I managed get all the warning lights off and stop the buzzer.
However I'm still left with a screen entry that asks me to enter my PIN code and until I do it seems that none of the functions - radio, satnav etc are working.
I found a radio code in the handbook but this doesn't work.
Where can I find the PIN code to reset the system ?
Car is a 2006 X350 XJR.

Hi
If it's the original unit, then Jag Customer Service should supply it if you ring them. They will want the VIN from the log book. I did a reset on the battery to clear faults to get the car running after a duff alternator (on an X308), but didn't have the code. Grange Jag in Swindon said mine didnt have a code(!!!!!) and wanted £65 to put it on a mc to reset it. Rubbish. Phoned Jag, spoke to Melanie, scanned the VIN, she emailed the code and had it done in 2mins. There are supposed to be other ways (holding down various combination of buttons), or you could try googling 'radio code cheats'. Might be worth a punt if its not the original unit. Otherwise, think you need to take the unit out and get the serial number. Probably someone will be along soon to give better advice, but its a start.
Good luck.

Go back and have a chat with the tyre fitting apes about it. Ask WTF were they doing with your car to flatten the battery in the first place and why should you have all the grief of sorting and possibily forking out cash to rectify the consequences of them doing so?They jump started the car and after a few miles to charge it up I managed get all the warning lights off and stop the buzzer.

If this hasnt been resolved (which i suspect it has) Hold down "||>" "pty" and "amem" if that doesnt work, there are different combinations for different stereos/ satnav units.
I tried all the combinations but nothing resets the system. It is possible the code has been changed when the car had some work done on the system under warranty.
Unfortunately the supplying dealer weren't particularly helpful and say they couldn't possibly be responsible for the code change. They've been poor almost from day one and I had some issues over the paperwork that took months to resolve.
I raised this with Jaguar Customer Service. They couldn't get a result from the supplying dealer either and so have agreed to pick up the bill for sorting it out.
My local dealer now has the car. Lets see.
