Boxster in Guards Red - popular?
Discussion
I am looking at trading my midnight blue 986S for an 87.2
Most at OPCs are the safe colours - grey, silver, black, dark blue.
am thinking of Carrera White for a change.
A fully optioned Guards Red S has just come on to the listings. Is this going to be difficult to shift later on?
Is red attractive only to extraverts and ...?

If you're buying a 87.2 I would forget about colour and focus on the spec. Most at OPCs are the safe colours - grey, silver, black, dark blue.

But if you have a choice and Carrara white is one of them, why not.

Got my GTS in Guards after seeing one in the showroom. Never really considered the colour before, but it looked fantastic in the flesh. When polished and shiny it is a stunning colour.
It should however be noted that when dirty it's as dull as dishwater, so investment in cleaning is recommended.I almost went down the white or silver route when I bought my Boxster (albeit the 981 variant), but almost at the last minute decided that a car like that needed a bold colour and so went for Guard's Red. Don't regret it for a minute, but you do attract a lot of attention!
I don't buy a car for resale purposes, I buy something that I like and want to drive.
Any excuse for a pic

Its a sports car, it needs a sporty colour. Guards Red is a classic colour and all of Porsches sports models look good in it. Guards Red always polishes up well and just glows when given the full wax treatment. If you trade up to a 987 3.4S you won't regret it after the 986 it's a big step forward. How good is the spec on the car? Most at OPCs are the safe colours - grey, silver, black, dark blue.

Just hurry up and buy it so that you can enjoy the sunshine before winter arrives.
