Company car calculations - how is it worked out?
Discussion
Oh fountain of Pistonheads ever knowing knowledge, answer me this.
I am a director (how very PH I know) of my own limited company.
If I were to move from my private car to a company car, how much would this cost in tax?
I am currently receiving 45p a mile for my own private car in business mileage. And I am doing 340 business miles a week.
My annual business mileage is 16320 miles a year. I receive 45p on the first 10,000 then 25p on the rest (I think) making this a saving of. £6080
Is there a simple ballpark calculation to work out what I would have to pay in tax for a new company car?

The calculation is simple. Rated C02 multiplier X list price of car including options x applicable tax rate.I am a director (how very PH I know) of my own limited company.
