CUSTOMS AND EXCISE FACE £50M CLAIM!!

BBC TV are reporting that HoverSpeed are taking HM Customs and Excise to court claiming £50 million for 'heavy-handed searches' of their customers.
Well, I hope they win. Perhaps then they'll be able to afford to re-open their previously excellent Dover-Oostende SeaCat service, rather than just trying to compete against the Channel Tunnel (unsuccessfully) on the Dover-Calais route.
The rudeness and behaviour of some of the Customs and Excise people was always a regrettable feature of re-entering Bliar's Britain after a break on the continent.
