Which option would you choose?

Bit of a hypothetical question so if this is posted in the wrong forum can a mod please move it?
Right given the two options below which would you choose?
Job A) Generally a nice environment where you are given opportunity to showcase your skills. Pay is decent and commute short so this means more money in the bank each month. However a recent change in senior management means that you are know severely controlled and your work load strictly controlled. Every meeting with then MD and board is stress plus more and more are expected out of you which resulted in longer working hours without any promise of pay remuneration. For some reason the new MD seem to be really critical in an aggressive way about your work too.
Job B) Relatively small company but the whole company is more suited to your main skillset. However pay is drastically less than Job A and commute distance doubles. However you will be a part of a dynamic team and career progression chances are much better than Job A.
Considering you also have a family, kids, a dog and mortgage to pay, which would you choose?

Seriously - 5 months ago I had pretty much exactly the same choice. 40% pay cut for job B which I took.
At the end of the day, I think we all work for money or we wouldn't bother (think if won lottery) and job B in reality is the same negatives as Job A given enough time.
I'm now already looking for a new job - and it's about getting the 40% back
Only you know your motivations for working - I was naive, should have stuck with the cash

I would say everything was perfect in Job A before new MD (hypothetically speaking ofc
) but I guess good things won't last forever. Perhaps I need to MTFU but still finding it hard to adjust.Still I would like hear more opinions and experiences from others if possible...
There is however a bonus question - in Job A a salary review is due soon. Would you take this opportunity to discuss about pay (line manager is not MD) considering the fact that the whole organisation is under going restructuring due to slowdown in profits.
