Hi, it is clear to me that TVR's have a mind of their own but my Cerbera has developed a new feature which is not very practical. Usually the indicators work fine but sometimes especially after hot engine starts, they do not work at all and i get beeping sounds in the interior. The alarm indicators do keep working during this phase and some time later or after a key off/on everything works again. Does this sound familiar to anybody?

Is your battery a bit low?

It can lead to many similar strange problems!

Do you have an Accumate?

But then it may be something entirey different, including the alarm.

Random electrical faults can be caused by poor earths. If your car ever gets damp then be even more suspicious.

I had a 'feature' during March whereby the indicators would all start flashing by themselves (together, as hazard lights). Pressing the hazard light button made them all flash slightly brighter, and moving the stalk did nothing. Usually tapping the box under the back window would stop it.

It's gone away now so I assume it was either a weak battery or dampness. The car is getting fairly regular use now so the battery is staying well charged and it's generally dried and warmed up a lot round these parts.

Have you done any work near the lighter socket recently, that can cause indicators to go a bit weird.

Also check for chafed wires in the steering wheel hub

Thanks for the replies. Since the problem occurs with running engine so 14V from the alternator and the battery is fine i will exclude that one, damp ECU could be allthough the car is garaged and only comes out for sunny weather, i think the last suggestion with damaged wires arround the steering column might be right.

Cheers,

Mark
