Second Hand Prices
Discussion
With all the migration to the V12 club over the last few months given the relatively soft pricing vs. new / list, I'm surprised (pleasantly mind!) at the apparent robustness of the V8 prices, from 28k for an early car to 36k for the cheapest 07 facelift.
Apparently 0% depreciation on my V8 over the last 18 months

That's good to hear and long may it continue but not wanting to be a kill-joy, if you traded your V8 in today would the trader pay you the same as you paid for it 18 months ago?
Maybe
If I was trading for a V12 - I'd be pretty confident! I've never sold to a trader though

I always thought that Astons were pre owned and never second hand. When I said I was looking for a second hand Aston, when I was originally looking, the dealer looked down at me and said "we sell pre owned cars, they are not second hand"
Well that told me didn't it!?
Pre-owned means new. Not second hand. Pre means prior to or before, so prior to being owned must mean new. Shimples. Well that told me didn't it!?

Nice one. 'Pre' in this context of course means previously, but I like your thinking
Kris, you need a V12V, you know you do. It'd look good on the new drive

It's a bit like pre-order. Why don't we just order anything anymore? Think about it. How can it be possible to order something before its ordered.

I was asked recently when I arrived at an event by the parking attendant if I had pre-arranged parking. He didnt quite know what to say when I said no, I had just arranged it.

Where do folks see late V12V prices bottoming out in the next 2/3 years. Eg Will a 2011 £90k V12V at Retail be £65k trade in 2 years ?
Want to get into something for 2 years that won't lose more than £20k ( Including Depreciation and buying/trading premium )
Good luck with that.. Want to get into something for 2 years that won't lose more than £20k ( Including Depreciation and buying/trading premium )
