Well Surprisingly the happy ball was still in sky when I got back to the UK this morning, so the VRS is in the lock up and....

Cat not overly impressed with a ride in it but hey I couldn't hear the meoooooow's above 3000RPM, I've gone mad and polished her this afternoon (ideal jet lag task!) and I'm going to change the oil tomorrow, on the car not the cat... rolleyes

Too right - I've heard that cat oil is quite hard to come by these days.

Looking nice and shinney - reminds me now the crap weather has gone, must give mine a wash.

It was just short of 6000 miles by plane, I've been working in China since bank holiday Monday only 10 days overseas but enough for me as it had been hectic to say the least :

Monday 27th Flew to Hong Kong
Tuesday 28th Arrived Hong Kong
Wednesday 29th Train from HK to Shenzhen + customer visit in Shenzhen then train to Guangzhou
Thursday 30th Customer visit Guangzhou (Right PITA left hotel at 7:45 got back at 10:30 pm !)
Friday 31st Another customer in Guangzhou - Technical training etc (34 degrees... hence sweaty..)
Saturday 1st Back at same customer for a meeting then flew to Shanghai, Tax TVR online smile
Sunday 2nd whohooo Day off - catch up on sleep + hit Irish bar, rest I will leave to your imagination...
Monday 3rd Train to Nanjing for another meeting back to Shanghai in the evening
Tuesday 4th in our shanghai office
Wednesday 5th in office again, dinner and drinks with German colleagues homeward flight at 23:30..
Thursday 6th Arrived Manchester, breakfast at Ikea Leeds, Nipped to the office, collect cat and TVR from parents = Big grin !!!

On the sensible transport front I know a few TVR owners with Octavia VRS's as everyday transport, Mines a slightly dog-eared 03 example bought with no history but has a Stage 1 remap, 3" stainless drainpipe, forge Motorsport BOV and is ideal for commuting, airport runs and carting Kids and stuff about and as it's a bit battle scared I don't mind leaving it at airports or clocking up a lot of motorway miles. Still averages 35 mpg too.

yeah I've done all that sweaty stuff too in the past... Where do you stay in Shanghai? I like the Peace Hotel - it's an unspoilt 1920's gem (assuming they haven't knocked it down in the meantime...)

Hi Adam,

Actually the office is based in Pudong so it's all modern stuff, we used to use the Radisson BLU at the thumb plaza but we are now out on the High Tech park at the Parkyard which is only one tube stop from the office and half the price of the Radisson.

I have explored quite a bit around the bund and the cool area behind that's name escapes me, lots of old warehouse buildings with bars and restaurants

Oh I forgot on my summary : Thursday Ate something that disagreed and had first experience with squaty potty.... In Summary it's just wrong !

Right off to change the wedges oil !
